Victoria Meadows, Rory Barnes, and Russell Deitrick attended the AAS Meeting in Grapevine, TX, January 3 – 7. Barnes organized a workshop on VPL products and tools. This event was webcast worldwide and featured the roll-out of all software and databases generated by the VPL over the last 15 years and included tutorials and a new webpage to disseminate the materials. Meadows gave a talk titled “Proxima Centauri b” Environmental States and Observational Discriminants” on January 4. Deitrick gave a talk titled “Close encounters of Proxima and alpha Centauri as a consequence of the galactic environment” on January 6.
