Jacob Lustig-Yaeger Earns Dual-Title PhD in Astronomy & Astrobiology from the University of Washington

Jacob Lustig-Yaeger (University of Washington, Advisor: Victoria Meadows) successfully defended his dissertation for his Dual-Title PhD in Astronomy & Astrobiology on Wednesday July 15th via Zoom! Please join the Virtual Planetary Lab in congratulating Jake for his momentous achievement!

Jake’s dissertation is titled: The Detection, Characterization, and Retrieval of Terrestrial Exoplanet Atmospheres.

Jake has accepted a Postdoctoral fellowship with the Applied Physics Laboratory at John Hopkins University working with Kathleen Mandt, Kevin Stevenson, and Noam Izenberg focusing on comparative planetology using exoplanet and solar system planetary science. Jake will also be working with the Dragonfly team on their recently announced mission to Saturn’s moon Titan!
